"You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You" Isaiah 26:3 encourages us. Peace is a promise, John 14:27 says "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." Through the Holy spirit in us, we have a promise of peace.
In times of trouble, the invisible Jesus promises abundance of peace, sometimes its not felt but its there. Imagine on a hot day, there is wind blowing but it is hardly felt. When it is not hot, we feel the wind and yet it has always been there.
"And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." God knows pain, He sees it, He feels it. He therefore promises you love that flows through your heart, and His peace is a form of great love.
Peace will preserve you, your body will hurt, but your spiritual nature will be preserved by His peace. Depression will be cured by His peace. So rest in His peace because, "For with God nothing will be impossible." Luke 1;37
Brethren, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
