The woman at the well is the most beautiful story ever written. What woman? What well? You ask. So this is a bible story, a story of pure love and of great redemption. A story of a woman burdened by her iniquity, and set free by the strength of Jesus.
A Samaritan woman comes to draw water at Jacob's well in Samaria, meets Jesus and Jesus offers eternal water. It is about the sixth hour when all this occurs and she goes home rejoicing at her redemption.
The eternal water cures her of every burden. And Jesus says as in John 4:14 "But whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life."
A thirsty Jesus no longer thirsts after healing the woman and bringing great redemption to the city. He says, "My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work.
So now and forever, Jesus heals and quenches your thirst.
Today you will indeed say, " I know that this is indeed the Christ, the savior of the world."
