His Foundation

 I love how Matthew 7:25, talks about the house that was build upon the rock,"...And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock."

Beautiful comparison of a life built and established on a strong foundation, a life that I would imagine, everyone would like to have. To be stable even in the midst of the raging storm, is definitely a good look on you and I. 

Recently, I have been hit by strong moments of recalling my past life and encounters, its like sometimes events both good and painful have been put in my mind and they feel so vivid. One of the things these experiences have left me feeling, is that I was able to walk through fire, and like in Daniel 3; 16-30, where Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were thrown in the fire, God has been a constant.

Verse 25 of the same chapter, reads in part, "He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God...."

God is a strong foundation, which offers not just rescue from literal fire, but also figuratively. When you and I live under Him, he builds a foundation in us that is never shaken. 

David says in Psalms 18:1-2, "I will love thee, O LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower." He writes this as a testimony of God's  deliverance from the hand  of his enemies and also from the hand of Saul.

Brethren, My prayer is that we would all be established in that strong foundation (God), a foundation that will be built over the course of time, as we continue in a relationship with our Lord.

Lets all cultivate that relationship with Jesus, by allowing him to take control of our lives. Lets be willing to let him in, because He won't force a relationship if our headspace has not given in to him, and when our free will is not committed to him.

We will experience stability in the eye of a storm, and this will help us navigate life easily, knowing He has established us, and thus we will not be shaken.
